The purpose of this communication is to provide a status update and highlights for any interesting subjects from the Ubuntu Server Team. Spotlight: Ubuntu 19.04 (Disco Dingo) Released April 18th

Thanks to a great effort by the community Ubuntu 19.04, the Disco Dingo, was released! See the Disco release notes for details on features added to this release.

cloud-init

  • Azure: Changes to the Hyper-V KVP Reporter [Anh Vo]
  • git tests: no longer show warning about safe yaml.
  • tools/read-version: handle errors [Chad Miller]
  • net/sysconfig: only indicate available on known sysconfig distros [Ryan Harper] (LP: #1819994)
  • packages: update rpm specs for new bash completion path [Daniel Watkins] (LP: #1825444)
  • test_azure: mock util.SeLinuxGuard where needed [Jason Zions (MSFT)] (LP: #1825253)
  • setup.py: install bash completion script in new location [Daniel Watkins]
  • mount_cb: do not pass sync and rw options to mount [Gonéri Le Bouder] (LP: #1645824)
  • cc_apt_configure: fix typo in apt documentation [Dominic Schlegel]

curtin

  • vmtest: reenable UEFI 4k tests, which got dropped when fixing subclassing. [Ryan Harper]
  • vmtests: Add test_kernel_img_conf stub for PsuedoVMBaseClass [Ryan Harper]
  • curthooks: chzdev_import must encode data if provided [Ryan Harper] (LP: #1825007)
