Ubuntu Server development summary – 16 April 2019

Hello Ubuntu Server

The purpose of this communication is to provide a status update and highlights for any interesting subjects from the Ubuntu Server Team. If you would like to reach the server team, you can find us at the #ubuntu-server channel on Freenode. Alternatively, you can sign up and use the Ubuntu Server Team mailing list or visit the Ubuntu Server discourse hub for more discussion.

Spotlight: Welcome Dan Watkins

We have a new addition to the Ubuntu Server team this issue from Ontario, Canada. He joined Canonical around 5 years ago and has most recently worked as a technical lead on the Ubuntu Foundations Certified Public Cloud team. There he fostered relationships with many public cloud partners and providers. Dan also had a few cloud-init commits to his name prior to his transfer. It was a slam dunk to have him join us. As you can see from the commit authorship below, Dan has already made a big impact on the team. Welcome Dan (Odd_Bloke on Freenode)!
