# Ubuntu Pro for MicroK8s

People choose to use Ubuntu for their laptops, desktops, servers and cloud for a whole variety of reasons. Maybe it’s because it is the OS they are most familiar with. Maybe it’s because it’s a great tool for development work, or maybe it’s because it **“Just works”**.

And if it doesn’t work? Canonical pioneered the LTS release for Ubuntu to give users the confidence that CVEs would be patched promptly and bugs would get fixed without having to upgrade to a new OS every six months.
