Job Role
- You own the daily relationship with a tier-1 large media and entertainment organization
- You are the front lines of architecture, development, coding, operations, and cloud health
- You are the front line of the customer’s experience with Canonical Support
- Direct/Concise line of communication with customer stakeholders
- Direct/Concise line of communication with teams inside of Canonical
- Technically assist change requests
- Delivery management (SOW, change requests, software engineering/building features from scratch)
- You will be on customer’s site as needed, which is in Atlanta, Georgia
Experience Requirements
- Bachelors or equivalent 4-year degree from an accredited college or university, and should be in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical area of study
- Senior Level Linux Professional LPIC-3 (or equivalent) certification or experience
- Experience supporting enterprise storage technologies
- Experience working directly with customers
- Software development experience and familiarity with Ceph and other storage technologies using C++, Python, or other current mainstream development languages
- Demonstrated drive for continual learning
- Advanced system administration tasks (auditing, monitoring, logging, performance tuning, capacity planning, etc.)
- Advanced troubleshooting (up to core dump analysis and kernel dump analysis desirable)
- Experience managing customer relationship: consulting, account management, or direct support
Additional Desirable Experience and Expertise
- OpenStack or Kubernetes deployment and operation
- Debian packaging and knowledge of Ubuntu development processes
- Proven Open Source development skills using current and accepted open source tooling and troubleshooting methodologies
- Familiarity with Open Source process and community practices required as well as familiarity with the Open Source business model
- Knowledge of operating systems other than Ubuntu
