We make Ubuntu available on the world’s most popular public clouds, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud and Oracle Cloud. We provide enhanced security and support SLAs for Ubuntu in the cloud through a variety of paid paid products and services. 


This role is to develop the ‘sell-with’ motion to drive mutual success of Canonical and the designated Cloud Partner. The Cloud Alliances Director will adapt the central strategy to align to the Cloud’s specific selling motions to accelerate the adoption of the cloud resources and the Canonical value added products and services.

As a Cloud Alliances Director you will:

  • Have home based channel management function with regular travel
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the Canonical and designated Partner portfolio of software and services
  • Have a global view and be fully integrated into the selling motions at a Tier 1 Public Clouds
  • Support the Partner's sellers at a Tier 1 Public Cloud to position and sell Canonical Software and Support Solutions.
  • Connect the Canonical sellers to the partner sale organization to identify and accelerate existing opportunities with the designated Cloud partner.
  • Work with marketing (Partner/Internal) to define demand generation and go to market campaigns.
  • Work closely with Product Management to realize market opportunities for new products and services
  • Achieve Quarterly and Annual Quota and MBOs.

The successful Cloud Alliances Director will have :

  • Partner and Channel Sales Experience
  • Experience with Open Source and Linux, Public Cloud Computing and IT Infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Alliances technology role
  • Infrastructure or IaaS Software Experience (Including Business Development and Sales).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Partner to Partner (P2P), with Global System Integrators and or software distribution and reseller channels
  • Experience running any form of marketing campaigns
